The movie The Protégé gives the term revenge killing a whole new meaning. It is a nonstop action packed ride of shooting and fighting that offers an outstanding performance from a bunch of people you all have come to expect the best from. A crazy and bloody good time if you’re into that kind of thing. I gave the movie a 6 1/2 out of 10 stars.
The movie The Suicide Squad might be dying to save the world but my god do they know how to cause some chaos. Throwing you right into the action you can expect “a tiny amount” of explosions, some random acts of violence and a high level of testosterone you don’t even know how to process. There is no surprise here that the movie would be entertaining. However when a psycho pathic mind controlling galactic starfish takes over the screen it got a little awkward. Thank goodness for King Shark and Rat Girl. Oh yeah, and that one scene when Harley Quinn murdered a bunch of people, yeah that was cool too. I gave this movie a 6 out of 10 stars.
The movie Respect takes you on a long long long journey to share with you the life of Aretha Franklin. And that it did. A strong and well acted film with some amazing vocals. It was insightful and touching but in the end I found the movie to be very long and drawn out to the point of just wanting it to be over. I gave the movie a 6 1/2 out of 10 stars.
The movie Free Guy was surprisingly entertaining and very well written. Ryan Reynolds was made for this role. I don’t think anyone could’ve done it better. The movie is overall just fun and a good laugh. There is just something about this movie that just works. I did find myself seeing Deadpool every single time he said or did anything though. I gave this movie a 6 1/2 out of 10.
