The Upside Reviews

Movie The Upside Reviews

The movie The Upside shares a touching story with humor and dignity and displays a side of Kevin Hart that we don’t get to see very often. It was a nice change to see Kevin Hart play a more serious role, as it shows us that he can be more then just that short silly guy that gets thrown around like a rag doll. The chemistry between Hart and Cranston was undeniable. It made the movie what is was, a heartwarming story that anyone could enjoy. I gave this movie a 6 1/2 out of 10 stars.

BUMBLEBEE Reviews

Movie BUMBLEBEE Reviews

The movie Bumblebee buzzes into theaters with a new adventure that tells the story from the very beginning. An entertaining action movie with a ton of heart and a mighty sting that will leave you wanting more. The Transformer movies we expect to watch are big blockbusters with non stop action that are meant to thrill and excite us and have done so thus far. This new take on the franchise is just what the doctor ordered, a fun heartwarming story that lets you watch Bumblebee find his voice and a friendship that will change everything that is yet to come. They are more than meets the eye and this movie proves that with Bumblebee’s large but adorable nature that he just can’t help but get excited. I gave this movie a 8 1/2 out of 10 stars.

Mary Poppins Returns Reviews

Movie Mary Poppins Returns Reviews

The movie Mary Poppins Returns was no spoon full of sugar and it was not delightful in anyway. I don’t think anything could help this movie go down easy not even the great Mary Poppins. If you do decide to come aboard this great sinking ship of tragic energy of misguided songs and hallucinogenic fantasies that have no Disney charm or warmth of joy in anyway, be warned that you will be greatly disappointed in this film. The musical numbers were like watching a baby’s television show, it visually hurt to watch and to listen to. The return of Mary Poppins brought along a vain and unhappy women to sing songs to children who had a look of disgust the majority of the time and showed no memorable quality of the original. I was saddened to leave the theater with no memorable song to sing and no happy memories of characters floating on ceilings and riding horses in a chalk painting. Many people liked this movie according to other reviews. I have reached my only conclusion, and that is they never saw the original to compare it to. I gave this movie a 5 out of 10 stars.
