Movie MOANA Reviews

The movie MOANA is a delightful film with fantastic music and flawless animation. It is definitely a great addition to the disney pixar family. This new hero/princess (Moana) brought so much joy to its viewers and to me. She is the realist princess disney has ever created and is a true role modle for young girls everywhere.

Let me take a moment to say this…

Moana is the first princess to show us that you don’t need to fall in love with a boy to save the world. This movie has hopefully set disney in a new direction with princesses with that said, Moana is the first disney princess to not have a love interest in a disney film. While you take a moment to think about that you might say that Merida was the first, however she did have three love interests in the film and even though she had no intrests in them she was still due to marry one of them in order to rule her kingdom. Moana is a new type of princess that does not require her to fall in love with someone in order to save her family or her home. I feel that this is a great message to send to girls every where and I hope disney continues to make more characters like this. Moana was a pure joy to watch and a all around feel good movie that you can enjoy as a child or an adult. I gave this movie 10 out of 10 stars.

The Edge of Seventeen Reviews

Movie The Edge of Seventeen Reviews

The movie The Edge of Seventeen was one of the most accurate teenage chick flicks I have ever seen. This movie takes you on an emotional rollercoster through the life of a Seventeen year old girl. The Edge of Seventeen is funny and compelling with a side of reality. Most of what was going on in this film I believe you can relate to in your own life. The main character Nadine played by (Haliee Steinfeld) did an incredible job in this roll, along side (Woody Harrelson) who plays the witty and out spoken teacher Mr. Bruner who always knows the right thing to say to make you feel better “NOT”. This movie will make you laugh/cry and make you relive all the things you hated about being a teenager. I gave this movie a 8 out of 10 stars.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Reviews

Movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Reviews

The movie Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them was an incredible movie. J.K Rowling has done it again, with this new installment to the Wizarding world it has brought back all the magic and wonder you first felt when you saw Harry Potter. The movie brought so much imagination and creativity to the screen that it felt like the characters were ripped right off the pages of the book. Eddie Redmayne delivered another stunning performance as the character  (Newt) the adventure writer and creature enthusiast. Dan Fogler also delivered an amazing performance as the character (Jacob Kowalski) whose character brings such a cheerful presence to the film. The movie was funny, charming and a pure joy to watch. I gave this movie 10 out of 10 stars.

WESTWORLD Reviews

Televisions WESTWORLD Reviews

The television show WESTWORLD is a fantastic show with endless creativity. There are so many crazy twists in this show that it is hard to fathom what is actually going on most of the time. The acting alone on this show is amazing and unbelievable. The ever changing storyline’s within the show are ridiculously jaw dropping. There are so many things going on in this show that they make it impossible to look away for even a second.

Fair warning, the show starts off kind of confusing and rough to watch at some points. However about half way through it gets so addicting and insane that you just have to know what happens next. This is one of HBO’S newest shows that I feel is worth watching. You should at least watch the first 3 episodes to give it a fair shot.

The movie Doctor Strange was entertaining and had many creative scenes that made me feel like I was looking into a kaleidoscope. So much so that I found my self getting lost in the background of the movie. This movie had a good mix of fantasy and reality that played well off of one another. Benedict Cumberbatch delivered this role with a unique flare that I felt was entertaining and humorous at many times. This film was enjoyable and we’ll acted, I think it will make a nice addition to Marvel Universe. I gave this movie a 7 out of 10 stars.

Being Charlie Reviews

Movie Being Charlie Reviews

The movie Being Charlie is a story about a spoiled teenage boy trying to navigate the rough road of a recovering addict whose parents push him into recovery center after recovery center trying to force him to get better. Surprise surprise Charlie clearly doesn’t want to get better and is determined to get kicked out and start trouble where ever he goes. The movie added nothing knew to the genre, however it was a good movie and had some pretty decent acting as well. The movie shows a fair amount of knowledge and expertise on the subject, which I find many films do not. I gave this movie a 6 out of 10 stars.

Maximum Ride Reviews

Movie Maximum Ride Reviews

The movie Maximum Ride was based on the James Pattersons book series. I found this movie to be entertaining and enjoyable to watch. However it was lacking a few key things to make it a great movie. I felt that the plot came off weak and was missing strong details to keep my attention. The movie never really gets going, there was no high or low points in this film to change your emotions or feelings about what’s going on. The movie just drops you some where in the middle and never really moves on from that point to change the tone of the film. I felt like the plot had no depth and was just moving along with no real end in site. At some points I thought the movie was just going to end right after some random speech Max gives but then the movie kept going and that happend about four times. Don’t get me wrong the movie wasn’t terrible especially if you read the books, but when is the movie ever as great as the book “almost never”. So what can I say or expect “Not much”. In the end id like to see what happens next but who knows if they will make the next book into a movie, will just have to wait and see. I gave this movie a 5 out of 10 stars.

Hacksaw Ridge Reviews

Movie Hacksaw Ridge Reviews

The movie Hacksaw Ridge was a fantastic film with amazing cinematography and unbelievable acting. Andrew Garfield delivered an amazing performance worthy of a nomination into best actor. After Andrew Garfield character (Desmond Doss’s) first climb up to Hacksaw Ridge starts it is truly eye opening to what these men went through. I was in awe that (Doss) never picked up a weapon to fight, he stuck to his beliefs no matter what. Even after every one pulled back he stayed on Hacksaw Ridge with no weapon to defend himself only to rescue the wounded men left behind. If you asked him what kept him going he would say “please let me get one more”.

While this film is based on a true story the things theses men had to endure during this war was truly sad to see and was even harder to watch at some points during this film. Director Mel Gibson delivered another amazing movie into the world of cinema. I gave this movie a 10 out of 10 stars.
